Hello there internet stranger! Welcome to my little corner of the web. Here I talk about my experience with being diagnosed and treated for cancer while living in a foreign country. I am originally British, however I left the UK in 2008. I lived in Ireland for 8 years and then moved to France in 2016. I was in France for less than a year before the cancer was discovered, I spoke no French and had not even gotten my social security properly set up yet. Each blog post will focus on either an event in my cancer journey or an aspect of French living that I had to adjust to, I’ll mostly keep it in order of events but we may detract now and then from the timeline in order to focus on a specific topic.

Here is a general list of topics I cover, I’ll add specific warnings to the start of each post so please don’t continue to read if you feel it will be upsetting, the point of this blog is to educate and help others who may be going through similar experiences, not to shock people and make them sad!
